Our mission
FinsiderAI exists for one reason: to make financial calculations transparent, accurate, and free for everyone. In India and across the world, financial decisions — from picking a SIP amount to choosing between tax regimes — are too often clouded by jargon, paywalls, sign-up walls, or apps optimized to upsell rather than inform.
We believe a person trying to figure out their EMI shouldn't have to surrender their phone number. A senior planning withdrawals shouldn't navigate ten ads to reach a slider. A student calculating loan repayment deserves the same precision as a banker.
Our mission: build the calmest, clearest, most accurate finance calculator platform on the internet — and keep it free, forever.
The story behind FinsiderAI
FinsiderAI was started in early 2026 after years of frustration with existing financial tools. The popular Indian finance sites are functional but cluttered with ads stacked on ads, popups, sign-up gates, and outdated tax slabs. International tools rarely support Indian rupee conventions (lakhs, crores) or Indian-specific instruments (PPF, NPS, EPF, Section 80C).
We decided to build something different. A platform where:
- Every calculation runs in your browser — your data never leaves your device
- Every formula is documented and verifiable
- Every page works on a 4G phone in under 2 seconds
- Every tax rule is updated within 30 days of regulatory change
- Ads exist (we have to keep the lights on) but never block the calculator

Our values
| Value | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Transparency | Every formula is published. Every assumption is stated. Nothing hides behind "proprietary methodology." |
| Privacy | All math runs in your browser. We don't collect, store, or transmit your inputs. No tracking pixels. |
| Accuracy | Every calculator verified against SEBI, RBI, and Income Tax Department guidelines. Quarterly audits. |
| Free forever | No paywalls, no premium tiers, no calculator behind a sign-up wall — ever. |
| Speed | Every page loads in under 2 seconds on 4G. We respect your data and battery. |
| Honesty | We tell you when a calculation is an estimate. We disclose limitations. We say "we don't know" when we don't. |
How we ensure accuracy
Financial calculations look simple on the surface — until you realize a missed compounding adjustment can change a 30-year retirement number by ₹40 lakh. Here's how we keep things right:
1. Source verification
Every formula traces back to a primary source:
- Tax slabs & sections: Income Tax Department of India, official Finance Act
- PPF, NSC, KVP rates: Department of Posts, Ministry of Finance notifications
- NPS rules: Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA)
- EPF rules: Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO)
- Mutual fund taxation: Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)
- Loan formulas: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) directives
2. Cross-validation
Before any calculator goes live, we test it against:
- At least three independent online calculators
- Manual computation in Excel/Python
- Edge cases: ₹0 input, max input, leap years, zero interest, 100% step-up
- Real-world scenarios from our team's own financial decisions
3. Update schedule
Tax slabs, EPF rates, PPF rates, NPS rules, and RBI policy rates change. Our update commitments:
- Within 24 hours: Critical bugs, broken calculators
- Within 7 days: RBI repo rate changes affecting EMI calculators
- Within 30 days: Tax slab changes from Union Budget
- Quarterly: Editorial review of all educational content
Editorial standards
We write our own content. No AI-generated articles dumped onto pages. Here's what our editorial process looks like:
- Subject-matter outline — drafted by someone who has actually navigated the relevant tax form, loan agreement, or investment scheme.
- Primary source check — every claim verified against an official source.
- Plain-English rewrite — we assume readers are smart but not specialists.
- Number verification — every example calculation re-run by a second person.
- Mobile readability check — content tested on a 360px-wide phone screen.
We never:
- Take payment to recommend a specific mutual fund, broker, or insurance product
- Hide affiliate relationships if any exist (currently we have none)
- Cherry-pick numbers to support a narrative
- Write content that's already been said better elsewhere
How we make money
Honesty matters here. FinsiderAI is monetized through Google AdSense — the same ads you see on most major content sites. Here's how it works:
- Google places relevant ads on our pages (typically finance-related)
- We earn a small amount when readers see or click an ad
- This pays for hosting, domain, design, content updates, and tax/legal compliance
What we promise:
- Ads will never overlap or obscure the calculator interface
- No popup, popunder, or auto-play video ads
- No ad immediately above the H1 (industry-worst practice)
- Maximum 5 ads per page (Google allows more — we don't)
If revenue ever permits, we'd happily run the site without ads. Until then, this is the most user-respectful monetization model we found.
The team
FinsiderAI is currently a small operation focused on quality over scale. Behind the site is a team that has worked across mutual fund operations, software engineering, content writing, and personal finance journalism. We're based in India and serve a global audience.
We're not a venture-funded startup. We're not building toward an exit. We're building a tool we ourselves want to use for the next decade.
